Modelling chores....

Whether you like it or not, sooner or later one of those boring, repetitive, modelling chores, that you love to hate will demand your attention.  I've been busy making a batch of Masokits screwlink couplings, and very nice they are, in fact they are the best on the market for the 4mm modeller, and certainly easier to assemble than other types.  With this sort of job its pointless to build them as you need them, far better to set up a mini production line and get the job over and done with, I do exactly the same when assembling S & W couplings.

This is what you get for your money, the etch is to the top, a selection of completed couplings to the lower left, links to the centre, assembled hooks and the dummy screws to the right.  Short and long coupling links are provided, there's also some instanter links as well, very good value for the modest £4.50 if you ask me.  There is no point in writing a blow by blow account of the assembly sequence because Paul Marshall-Potter has already done that here, you will need to scroll down to reach the section on couplings, but that's no hardship at all, due to the other interesting modelling topics featured.

The first batch, chemically blackened and ready for installation, 7416 was the first to receive a pair, and by golly she's been waiting long enough!
